Kenny Dalglish targets final ball – This Is Anfield (Liverpool FC)

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has targeted improving the final movements in the Reds attack as a key to unlocking goals and victories.

Dalglish feels the lack of confidence and belief in the team at the moment is hindering the attacking movement and getting the ball into the final third of the pitch.

Fernando Torres has looked a frustrated figure up front this season, consistently not supplied with any sort of chance in front of goal.

Ahead of this Sunday’s Merseyside Derby, Dalglish said, “We just need to work with the final passing. We are not going to accept defeats as a positive for LFC and we create higher ambitions than that.

“The belief that the players have in themselves isn’t as great as it should be. The most important thing though is that they want to do better and that will reflect well on the football club.

“We’ll keep working at it and if they didn’t have the commitment then I wouldn’t be as complimentary towards them.”

Liverpool vs Everton gets underway at 2.05pm this Sunday, 16th January at Anfield.
